Printmaking

One of my all-time favorite hobbies is linocut printing. I first discovered printmaking while studying abroad in Florence, Italy, where I had the opportunity to take a course exploring linocut, woodblock printing, and metal plate etching. Throughout the course, I became especially drawn to pattern and repetition. Printmaking is a slow, multi-step process, and working with repetitive patterns made it feel almost therapeutic.

Today, I still use the techniques I learned in Florence to create prints of my own. My favorites are inspired by the homes of the people I love.
